What time period is this tiny cameo from?

I recently found this cameo tucked underneath the bottom of a jewelry box I bought at an auction. It is very small the whole pendant only measureing 1 1/4 inches long. The back reads very tiny and barely legible "008" i think, it also says something under it but it is too faded and tiny to read even with a magnifying glass. It appears to be very old. Any information on it would be graciously appreciated! Thank you, Kelly
