often gold filled is 1/20, but perhaps it is 1/30, that is the thickness measurement of the rolled gold plate which is the RGP

Looking at the pictures, is that the mark of Clark & Coombs? It is a nice piece but does not seem like it could be from the 1800's but what do I know, I am a novice.

being a Rolled Gold Ring, and marked C & C I think a good bet might be - CLARK & COOMBS Co. (mostly on Gold Filled Rings, Manufacturing Jewelers, Providence, RI, USA). From 1872 - Present
