Pearls have certain criteria that needs to be evaluated in order to value, size of bead, shape of bead, color, luster, thickness of nacre coating, blemishes. Mikimoto is a brand of pearl like Kleenex is to facial tissue, although they are currently known for high end they have a range of quality. You can't assume the brand is enough. Have a reputable jeweler appraise them for you.
