Value of the sapphire and diamond necklace from Titanic

Dear Sir or Madam:

I am a gemmologist currently completing a course in jewellery appraising. Based on provenance, the final course assignment requires research into valuing one sapphire and diamond necklace from the Titanic.

A fictional version of the necklace was mentioned in the Hollywood movie "The Titanic". However, my assignment has nothing to do with the fictional "Love of the Sea" necklace. Based in Titanic jewellery comparables, the assignment is to find a value for the authentic original item from the Titanic.
