These were popular years ago and were commonly known as rice pearls. They may be cultured pearls, do the tooth test. Rub them very gently against your teeth and if the feel gritty they are real if not they are probably plastic or glass. Even if real they may not have much value as these small rice pearls are no.longer in vogue.

Hi Sheena,
On the side of the main part of the clasp there is a tiny inscription/stamp of numbers which looks as though it says 147207. However it is very small and I will need to clarify this by looking at a magnified view of the clasp.

Leanne is the clasp on the necklace strand marked? This will give you some idea of the overall value. The pearls are not round in shape Or even close - so my guess is theyr'e not cultured pearls. Sheena E
