Your pin is called a reverse Intaglio, many refer to them as Crystal Essex. They were first created by one jeweler and then a couple apprenices, after that, several others began trying to do their own style. I urge you to reserarch both those type (reverse intaglio, and crystal essex) to learn more about the intricate process to make these, and the different attributes that add value. As well as how to identify a fake (most are made in glass and lucite around and after the 1950's). Many do not have makers marks on them, but yours does, so lthat alone increases its value. Also a few other things indicate that it's probably made during the Edwardian period, but do not quote me on this. I recently sold a similar pin for wholesale on EBay, it took about 8 days to sell, and sold it for $995. My pin was in slightly better condition, but it was just the crystal reverse intaglio of a horse head ( and both yours and mine have a backing inside, in front of the good, behind the painting, which is a thin sheet cut round to fit, which is mother of pearl., mine was incased in this 14k gold, with a working pin. The crystal was about the size of a U.S. quarter, 7 to 9 carats from what I've read. Lucky for you, I found what looks to be a replica of your pin on www.1stdibs.com.
