unglueing mabe pearls safely

A customer gave me a mabe pearl glued to a bezel. I need to solder a piece of the bezel back. How do i remove the pearl safely. I dont know what glue was used. Its yellowish-not sure if that's from age though - I'm thinking a 2 part epoxy?
