Turquoise popularity contest

Some turquoise info for those concerned. Stones and gems, like fashions are popular at certain periods in history. According to my research into this gemstone, turquoise was popular in the 1950s. Opaque sky blue turquoise, was immensely popular.

AU Symbol
by: I Love Turquoise

Unfortunately, to my knowledge there's is no world registry of hallmarks and other countries do not have to comply with British, European or American Standards anyway. Basically, it means that anyone can make and stamp their jewelry with whatever marks they want.

FYI - AU is the International symbol for GOLD. Good Luck Annie

22 carat gold

Hi thank you for writing in and uploading a photo of your necklace. Could I just ask, before discussing the sword hallmark, what makes you believe the metal is 22 ct gold? Is it the Roman numerals? or has the metal been tested, or is it something else?
Warm Wishes Yvonne
