Hi I have a 22ct Gold Wedding ring, where the initials of maker are faded, (possibly the top of a fancy W or H), followed by an old type crown, 22, sideways anchor, a plain capital A, and then a space followed by a five pointed star.

Can you please help me find out who made this or the maker? I will send you a picture.
This is a Diamond or Crystal Brooch my mother gave to me, I don't know any history. it is stamped with a 5 point Star nothing else on the back..I can't find anything on the internet. I have looked for days, The Dove little branch in it's mouth broke off. I intend to get it fixed but before I took it to anyone I would want to know if it is worth fixing it and worth selling?

I believe this necklace is 1890-1900 - silver hand made with garnets in many shapes and rose cut zircons - we believe it to be bohemian - can you identify the hallmark? Thanks

Hi there, i have just bought a gold engagement ring with diamonds and emeralds for my girlfriend. I was wondering what the hall marks mean. So far from my limited research, i have found out, that the engagement ring was hallmarked at the birmingham assay office, is 18 carrat gold.
The hallmarks, although slightly worn, are from left to right, 18C five point star and an anchor (birmingham assay office). I would like to know what the star is representing and if possible the age of the ring.
Thanks Sincerly,
Trevor

I have recently found what I think was my Great Great Grandmothers wedding ring. I can understand most of the hallmarks, 9 carat, birmingham anchor, year is a Z etc but the last symbol is a gold star and I can't find anywhere what that means. Can you help?

The Hallmark is inside a pink/rose gold band ring probably from about 1910 to 1920 or so. Probably bought in upstate NY maybe Utica. The mark is a B with the cutouts being stars. The stars are part of the letter B.

We have a 22 carat ring, stamped in Birmingham in 1851. After the usual hallmarks there is a single 5 point star in a square box. Do you know what this means?
Many thanks

...small necklace, most likely intended for a child or a baby. It is (marked) 10K; and both on the latch (of the chain) and the back of the locket (which is a small heart shaped turquoise with a solid gold back) are (also) marked with an imprint of a star. Each star appears to have either an “8” or a “B” inside it, too. I appreciate any information you can give me – or, point in the direction for more information on these hallmark. Thank you, in advance. Cordially, Judy Clark
