Source of Cameo - Sammartino?

I have a cameo from my great grandmother, Teresa Sammartino who came here from Molise Italy. I have a second nearly identical which I purchased. Both are angel skin with filigree. I am wondering if there is a connection with Sammartino and my ancestor?
