Solitaire Pearl Framed by Alleged Old Mine-Cut Diamonds on an Alleged 18k Gold Ring - Pearl Setting?

Would a solitaire pearl be glued into place on an allegedly 18k vintage ring old enough to also be set with alleged old mine-cut diamonds? The ring has a trio of marks on the shank that I cannot decipher and supposedly comes from Brazil. Thank you for your reply.
