Sail Boat Hallmark

I have a piece of what i believe is antique jewelry in the form of a filgree pendant with a single peridot in the middle and several opals. there seems to be no hallmark on the main piece though there is a mark of some kind on the attached D ring. the hallmark looks like what seems to be a 9C then a sailboat though i have been unable to find any reference of this. I have attached a picture of the hallmark .
