Here is a better photo of the hallmark on the Russian "alexandrite" ring that I posted on May 22nd.
I'm fairly certain that the stone is not alexandrite, but rather synthetic corundum laced with vanadium. It appears to have been set upside down. Does anyone know why that would be?
