R/S within a shield, stamped in older Masonic ring

Come watson the game is a foot! I have a good one here, it is a 10K gold masonic ring with an unusually large synthetic ruby and an art deco scroll to the setting/band.

The maker's mark is the letters R/S within a shield,(please see pictures) this is a diffrent shield than I have seen before.
Any ideas, will Lestrade and I will what fro what help will come.
