Hi, I just bought a similar crucifix. The compartment has a piece of paper that has Terre catacomb on it and what looks like 3 little rocks or maybe (bone)? I looked up catacombe seems to be under ground cemetery near Roman italy. Obviously, there must be different things placed inside the compartment. Will do deeper investigation.
