Can you provide a photo of the piece and describe it please? Is the jewelry in question a Necklace, bracelet, earrings or pin?
I would be wary, if the piece isn't signed but has the original Carnegie tag. If you take the tag off or loose it, the item becomes more or less valueless unless of course you love wearing it or the piece is so strikingly similar to the book piece.
