Please Help Identify Onyx Ring set with Diamond

The Antique gold ring has a .25 to .30 Minor cut diamond set in Onyx. The hallmark is an elongated C with EWR inside then 10K. I am trying to find out if this ring belonged to my Mother or Grandmother. Could you please help me date it. Thanks Bob
