Pillow Pearls | Barbara BB

I have antique earrings that appear to each have .5 inch pearl set in prongs. The pearl does not look like a mabe pearl. It looks like a pillow. I wonder if it is a pearl. The earrings may be from Poland or Russia and made in the 1890's. Thank you
