Pearl Value

I have some pearls that I received from a friend several years ago. I'm interested in selling them. I have no idea what type of pearls they are. I have attached two pictures. The necklace is a six strand long pearl necklace with a gold clasp. The original price on the pearls was $179.99. I received them about 15 years ago but know they are older. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
