Orange Blossom Ring by Traub
by Kathy Snead
(Front Royal, Virginia)
I have an old Orange Blossom ring by Traub Manufacturing Co. It is beautiful and very unique. I can not identify the time frame on it.
I have seen many rings by them but nothing that has even come close to mine. There are markings inside the ring that has Orange Blossom, a circle with TT in it, and it is marked 14k 18k.
I took it to a jewelry shop to have it cleaned and they told me that the diamond was at least a half a carat, it was an old mine cut diamond, and it had no fish eye. (I am not sure what that might mean.)
They also told me that the way the diamond sits in the blossom setting that it looks like the ring was made around the diamond because it had a perfect fit.
Could anyone help me identify the name of the ring and around what year it is from? Or anything else about it would be nice.
Thanks,
Kathy
Antique Traub Orange Blossom Engagement Ring

I found your website while researching my engagement ring. It seems to be a Traub Orange Blossom ring from the 1930s, but I'm no expert and have run into a wall with my research.
My fiancée told me he'd like me to pick out my ring when we got engaged because I have very eclectic taste. Knowing that I wanted an old/antique ring, we started hunting locally and found absolutely nothing. Local jewelers wanted to sell us stamped out copies of old rings, which in my opinion doesn't look nice and misses the point of an antique.
I wanted to find something someone had worn for many years, something that had a story. I then went online, as scary as it was to purchase something I wouldn't be able to actually see until it arrived.
We purchased "the ring" online from a jeweler in Dearborn Michigan who comes by rings as lots from other jewelry stores. The ring is platinum and marked with "TT" (i think), "PLAT.", and "Orange Blossom". We were told the center diamond (1.05ct) is an ideal cut, and it has small white inclusions on the one side so it is natural. the filigree is very defined, so I imagine it must have been hand cut. It's a unique design and I love the character it has...I have never seen anything like it!
I was wondering what else you might be able to tell me about:
• Traub - Any history, info on jewelry quality, and how sought-after/common are their items?
• The age of the ring...30s?
• How was it made...stamped and then hand-carved?
• What exactly is "Orange Blossom"? From my research, it seems many companies created "Orange Blossom" rings but Traub had Trademarked the name.
I have attached pictures, but please let me know if you need anything else.
Best Regards,
Staci
Orange Blossom?
by Kirsty
(Glastonbury, UK.)
Hi- I was given a yellow gold wedding band by my mother in law (now deceased) which had been bought by her husband (also deceased) in the late 60's/early seventies. Unfortunately I was burgled yesterday and the ring was one of the items taken. I am desperately trawling the web for pictures so that I may circulate an accurate portrayal of the ring for purposes of recognition (and also that I may get an evaluation for my insurance company)
It was a flat band of roughly 1cm width. It was thick and heavy and had orange blossom, four petal flowers engraved around it. It did not have "Orange Blossom" engraved inside the band, so does this mean it was not made by the Orange Blossom company?
I am really struggling to find something similar online and would be grateful for any pointers or advice.
Many thanks in anticipation

Orange Blossom TT
by Beth Partenheimer
(Newman, Illinois)
In my Grandmother's jewelry collection I found what she called a "cocktail ring". It is Inscribed Orange Blossom TT 18kt with 2 tiny marks after it. It has 6 diamonds. Perhaps the largest 1/2 kt 1 med diamond and 4 small 1/4 kt(?) in a row. Rather unusual. I can't find pictures of it anywhere. Can you help me with value?

I own a c shaped muilti coiored block letter signature weiss pin or brooch probably rhinstone with a goldish or yellow braiding that runs completely around the outside of the pin or brooch. It is definitely vintage costume jewelry, but lovely and sparkly. It is approximately. 2 inches high and about an inch in width at the larger part of the c shape. I paid $50 for it, in an antique/vintage type shop about 7 years ago in key west, fl. I was wondering if you may know anything about this pin and if the value is about what I paid for it.it is definitely a real Weiss pin. Thank you. Bonnie landino
