Old PIN or MEDAL

I have an old pin or medal.

the first one is gold in color. It is not tarnished and it has not been cleaned. The face is of a unicorn "L-facin" raised in a blue shield inlay, the bottom says 1887. It has the leafs of a greek crown surrounding it and has the words - "boston athletic association" printed on the border.

on the back...it is dated, 2-4-1928. It say INVITATION GAMES
DARMOUTH
VS
SYRACUSE

it has a hallmark of what looks like a bird or eagle?
DC is stamped.under that it has "G*F"
and then what I think is DIEZTS&CLUST
is there any info u know of?
