UK hallmarks are mostly 3-5 Marks, not necessarily aligned or oriented the same. Marks include maker's mark, Town mark, Standard (Purity) mark, Date Letter, & possibly duty mark.
The crown is the traditional UK symbol for gold. The anchor on its side is the town mark for Birmingham.
the LG or LC is what's known as the sponsor mark, and it's the initials of the firm or indiviual who submitted the piece for marking.
