Thanks!
by: Tara

Thanks so much for you guys' help!! Well, now the question is, is it material that I should include in the garage sale, or should I keep this bracelet? I am getting ready for a yard sale and am spring cleaning and this is one of the old things I found in the process. I think these would be pretty in some other piece of jewelry, if they are worth saving....or are they just good for rock collectors? Thanks :-)

Hawks Eye?
by: Jack

It could be a hawks-eye stone. I believe this variety of cats eye may display random "bends"
In the white stripe area. Cheers Jack

Cat's Eye Stones
by: Yvonne

Good Morning
Tara, the stones in your bracelet all have narrow bands of concentrated light that are consistent with "chatoyant stones" which are called cat's -eye stones because they resemble a cat's eye; they are usually polished as cabochons to best reveal this shimmering luster which is called the 'chatoyant' effect. There are many chatoyant stones, like tourmaline but the finest quality cat's eye stone is the cymophane. Chrysoberyl cat's eye is the best known.

Warm Regards
Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
