If it's Monet it will be silver toned. You can buy Monet today at Macys. Maybe you could take the necklace to a Macys store at a location that's closest to you and compare.
It sounds like a nice necklace to layer. For example, you could combine gold with silver tone necklace chains together with silver tones like your necklace so you could mix and match with any other accessories you may have.

18 inches long necklace with clear stone - more information please by: Lanelle whitaker
I looked better at it and I think that it might say "Monet" after all instead of moneio like I thought. I don't know if it's real silver necklace. The necklace is 18 inches long and the pendant is a heart shape and it's about half an inch big, also the clear stone in the middle of the pendant is also heart shape and it's about half carat. Can you tell me is the necklace real, also there is no mark to say if it's real silver, also what kind is stone is it and is it real. Can you please help. Thank you

The white stone would be a clear rhinestone. How big is the heart? You didnt say. Can you describe the bail on the pendant, (the bail is what the chain goes through). Is this part decorated with rhinestones too? Is the piece in good condition? Is the chain sterling silver? How long is the chain? Does the chain have a clasp? The more information the better, if you get it appraised you need to describe the piece in details.

Appraisal Form by: Anonymous
the jewelry appraisal form can be found at the following link:
Lanelle - it could be MONET with a copyright sign C in a circle next to the word Monet and with the Patent Pending underneath the word Monet with the C. Use a magnifying glass out side. Monet first used the word Monet Jewelers (the word "jewelers" appears in a different font that the word "Monet") in 1937 by Monocraft Products and there were quite a few variations.
Monet with the copyright was used after 1955.
Something I think you might find interesting is that the Monet Group which includes Trifari and Marvella was bought by Liz Claiborne in 2000 and moved out of the country.
If you think its worth it, why don't you consider an on-line appraisal - you will also know the value this way. Don't make this mistake of asuming costume jewelry is not investment worthy. Nothing costume about some of the values realised.
You will need photos of the item, and once you submit the form send your photos as attachements to harrisrebecca@me.com
