Yvonne, I would like to thank you for the kind words in your post in response to my favorite jewel it means a lot to me. When i lost the bracelet I am not going to lie I was a mess. I could not think straight I was sick to my stomach I could not even breath right and I stopped and thought all this over a material thing?
It hit me harder because I realized it was over the promise, the only thing she asked of me. I felt as though I failed her. You know The funny thing is, I didn't even loose it. I did keep my promise by keeping it safe, so safe I forgot i had it put away.
So in keeping my promise I actually made myself sick. My mom says that me cleaning my closet out was my grandmother's way of finding it for me as a christmas gift.
I often feel my grandmother around me during certain times as I'm sure we all do with long lost loved ones but it's when I hold that bracelet that I feel her the most.
I feel as long as I have that, I still have her; it's that bracelet that binds us together still. It's the love between her and funny that the most the charms on that bracelet should be hearts, and two that stick out the most, love u and the other forget me not.
I think that says it all about my sweet sweet grandma and me. How I love her and miss her still at the old age of 34. I still feel her from when I was a child. Yes,I am truly blessed to have my bracelet.
Again thank you Yvonne for not only your sweet reply but for this site. I feel kinda like I am home here when I see and read other peoples stories and how much their pieces mean to them.

Your Favorite Jewel by: Yvonne
Well, Jeanette, your story about your favorite jewel brought tears to my eyes as I'm sure it will to everyone who reads about your grandma's charm bracelet that she handed down to you, with a promise while she was still alive.
If I were a drinker (which I'm not) and had a glass of wine in my hand I would stand up and toast you! The reason is because your story about your favorite jewel, sums up, exactly, the true meaning of investing in antique jewelry.
Investing in Antique jewelry is about GIVING, not fighting over jewelry, which unfortunately happens in many families when a loved one passes away.
Its true value goes way beyond the value of the jewelry, the gemstones and the precious metals; the value is the memories it holds, these are priceless. The pieces, like your grandma's silver bracelet is a forever symbol of the love you have for your grandma and the love she had for you and while those memories are still alive, so is your dear grandma.
Thank you so much for sharing your story! Now let me wipe the tear away from my eye and see what we can find out about your grandmas antique silver bracelet...
sincerely, Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre If you would like to join the Antique Jewelry Investor community and stay up to date with all the latest Antique jewelry news, I click here....

Why is there a finger ring in the middle? by: Anonymous
okay so you may have noticed a ring in the middle of the bracelet.. well that was put there for something the camera can focus on, a center pt, otherwise the picture of the bracelet would have been of poor quality and out of focus, but then again I maybe telling you something that you already know.
This truly is my favorite thing I own. I hope that you all enjoy the bracelet and how I came about it. If you know anything of the age and or who or what company made this Please share as I know the personal history behind it, I don't know the technicalities, as far as age, maker and value are concerned. I have tried researching but i am coming up with nothing. Please help. Thank you for your time in reading this and helping out. Thank you Jeanette
