I'm guessing this is an American site. I can tell you that S&Co is for Sanders & Company and the Anchor is for the Birmingham Assay Office. Coincidentally, I bought a ring at auction last week (Jan 23rd 2019) with the same 'WEDU' mark from S&Co. I would guess that it was a range of rings from this jeweller. My one has an italic 'G' which dates it to 1956 and would guess that if the queried ring has an italic 'V' it would be 1970 or if a regular 'V' it would be 1946. Ladies wedding rings were more often 22 carat gold in the UK until gold became more expensive, after the 1950's. I worked in retail jewellery for 30 years from the the mid 1970's and in my early years, 18 and 22 carat gold wedding rings were our main sales.

22 carat gold ring by: Yvonne

have you discovered the S G maker of the gold ring yet?
Now, 22 carat gold is a traditional choice for wedding bands. In keeping with British Royal Family tradition, the British royal couple's wedding rings were crafted from 22 carat gold from the Clogau St David’s mine in Bontddu, North Wales. Read More information HERE

Hi Jan
thank you for your post. Could you please provide more details about the hallmark calculator you mentioned. It sounds like an interesting tool. The link unfortunately didn't work.

Hallmarks by: Jan Noack
Hi, Looing at this hallmark calculator it is probably Birmingham (anchor), and depending on WHICH V you have the date From the calculator it could be 1920,1945 or 1970 probably. There are different shaped letters for the different years (they repeat every 26 years or so with a slightly differing style of letter). The other intials are messges or maker's marks (as the previous comment explained).
Hope this helps, Jan

22 carat gold by: Anonymous
that's a lot of letters for one signature. Are you sure some of these letters are not the initials of a previous owner? Are the letters stamped or engraved? Please check with magnifying glass or hand lens to make certain the letters S & C and not the Birmingham maker S & G?
The Crown followed by 22 means the ring is made of high carat 22 carat gold.
