Marking on an antique 14K gold ring

This was my great aunt's ring and my mother and I are trying to determine how much it could potentially be worth, but before getting it appraised we are trying to figure out some information on our own. We know what the 14K means, it's just the other symbol that we can't figure out. I've looked everywhere and can't seem to find it. Originally I had thought it was a conjoined HK but I'm not so sure. The ring is from around the 1950s or earlier. Even if you can't determine what the symbol is, any information would help, like if you have ever even seen this marking before.
