Makers Mark scratched on back of 14k cameo-is it old/special?

14k cameo with unknown initials

I inherited this cameo and we never knew my mother even had it..thinking it came from an aunt or a grandma we didn't know....it is marked 14k on the pin stem , has a lot of nice detail and has initials scratched on the back I can't make out. its over 2" tall..any ideas? they would be very much appreciated!
