Lion hallmark

Lion lying on his belly, facing left, tail up and over his back - on a wedding band just under 2.3 MM wide. There is a capital B in front of it, and 18K behind. This is a white gold band with beading barely visible to the naked eye. Was it my mother's (wedded July 28, 1941) or my grandmother's (at least 20 years earlier)?
