Orange Blossom 14K Band with Crown Inside Letter C
by: Joe Mitchell

I recently acquired a plain milgrain edge band ring that's marked ORANGE BLOSSOM 14K, along with this crown shape inside an oblong letter C. I assure you it is a crown and not a number 3. Upon research, I found ORANGE BLOSSOM to be the trademark for Traub Jewelry Manufacturing Co. of Detroit, Michigan. Most of their rings I found online are stamped with TRAUB or the commonly found TT inside a circle. There are no other known trademarks for an ORANGE BLOSSOM name for finger rings, and all those under a different owner were once purchased from Traub. I researched the crown inside the letter C as another maker's or wholesaler's mark, with no luck, finding this as a circa 1930s Canadian assay mark for gold items. My educated guess is that my ring was made by Traub and then imported into Canada for sale, considering Detroit is just beyond the river to Canada. I hope helps.

Here are images of my ring bought in Canada but it looks more like a crown than a 3. Any thoughts?

I also have a ring with crown inside a C
by: Swire from Toronto

Hi there,

I recently also bought a 10K gold signet ring with a hallmark featuring a small crown inside the capital letter C. Since now we've two people in Canada asking about it, I imagine it's a Canadian jeweller that made the rings.

Hi - are you sure it's a crown and not a fancy number 3? A photo would help.

Caron Bros Jeweler in Montreal, CANADA - ca 1878 - 1910 inside a letter C. It's a three but looks like a crown,
