I found a bracelet today it is stamped inside on only one end, it has 2.00 then it has a fancy L with a star beside it, I would love to know if this is just costume or real, there are about 96 diamond looking stones, its very pretty real or not. Thank you

L and a star shape marking by: Anonymous
I have a photo of the marking that I am asking about but I do not see where to upload it while posting this comment.
Reply: Directly after the description box it says,
Lisner & Co. (Costume Jewelry, New York, USA) - ca 1938 - 1940s cursive L in an oval - you might like to try searching from there. Without an image, we are flying blind.

Cursive L with a little star by: Anonymous
I have came across some 10 yrs ago a bracelet with 20 diamonds (could be fake for all I know) in a row. On the clasp in a pat number for the clasp:3308517 on one side and on the other end it has a 14k and below that it has the cursive L with a little star sitting on it "lap", if you will.
I have been trying to find out all I can about it. I have no idea how old it is just that it belonged to my grat aunt.

NEED TO KNOW TOO by: Michele
I have come across various contemporary pieces with this mark and they are all very high quality. Most recently a 3 carat wide diamond band with 30 G/SI diamonds. Would LOVE to know this designer. I don't know how to post a photo but would be happy to do so.
Hi Michele you can attach a photo in a follow-up submission. Information on How to upload an image can be found Here
You might like to get an independent appraisal carried out. Details on how to submit an on-line appraisal can be found Here.

Inside what? More info required by: Anonymous
Thank you for writing in however your question is a little scant. L and a "star shape" markings inside, what please?
Also any information in relation to the following will help and a photo says a thousand words:
1. When and how acquired, for example: inherited from grandma 10 years ago when she was in her 80s OR purchased at a Flea Market or Auction 6 years ago OR picked it up at a Garage Sale from a French family 2 years ago etc
2. Any related family history that may help in focusing our research to a particular Period or Region, for example: I remember seeing it at my grandma's house since I was a little child while still in Virginia OR my grandma brought it with her from Germany in the 1950s OR my husband found it at a Flea Market in Oregon 20 years ago etc
3. Any other information you may have already discovered and any other details that will help.
