men's gold jewelry might be making a comeback because of the price of gold. the price of gold has reached an historic high - $1240. Previous record high was USD$ 1241.25
You can always sell a little back later if need be. At least it is not worthless fricken paper.

thanks for your Krementz feedback by: Jo
Hi Yvonne thank you for your comments and the pics of the Krementz signatures. Though the puzzle is not solved, I am pleased that you agree that no signature is odd for Krementz pieces. That you took the time to send examples of the signatures---well, I just truly appreciate that.
I will send this to your email as well since I'm not sure I have followed the right link to get back to you about the jewel of the month. I just got an email notifying me that there was new info here today..then read your note about jewel of the month. I'm so thrilled! I'm such a newbie, and this is really exciting to me. Thank you! I have to run to the post office (e-bay sales) and run one other errand. Then I will return and send more pictures. Gee, what do you call your jewel of the month when you don't know what it is? You do remember that it's costume jewelry? Jo

Mens Jewelry by: Anonymous
Hi Jo thank you so much for writing in.
Your collection sounds lovely and the antique and vintage jewelry you have acquired has quite clearly given you a lot of pleasure in collecting it. And that's what collecting antique jewelry is all about.
My personal feelings on Harold's point, of men's jewelry making a comeback could be more to do with the slow death of the dollar as people who can afford to invest in antique jewelry, and more men turn to gold and silver as a safe haven. In these days, it could be a prudent move.
About Krementz Jewelry, I always thought pieces were signed, but I could be wrong. I found some Krementz signatures info here but no mention of "unsigned" pieces.
This photo is by courtesy of Illusionjewels who have an information info about costume jewelry. You can get a larger view of the marks directly from site Here.
Thanks for your help. I am very glad to know that men's jewelry is making a comeback! I think I should have told you more about myself when I posted my question, as I am somewhat familiar with Krementz.
Actually a Krementz piece was the first I ever sold! I've been collecting old costume pieces for both men and women for years, thinking that eventually I would do something with it. I've been selling on e-Bay for a few months. I never get what the item is worth, and really should have some other on-line presence. All in good time!
I did not know men's jewelry becoming more collectable. Good to know. I have sold Krementz before but it has always been signed. Do you know if some of their jewelry was unsigned? "Long Quality" is what it looks like it says. I don't want to misrepresent it. I know I have a genuine box, and some genuine vintage jewelry here, but I don't know if they match without that signature. I also collect other small antiques. Why the small ones? That is generally all I can afford :).
Evidently I do have a bit of an eye..over the years I collected pieces of Hocking, Belleek, and even some very old Warwick, without knowing what they were and not having even heard those names before. I started with Fiestaware because it was so easy to spot and date. When I decided to start selling and did some research I was amazed at the history of these other items! Now I need to find a good 12 step program.... One more thing: Today the stones in those pieces look more brown that maroon---but there is still some shimmery lights to them. Jo

Men's Jewelry is Making a Big Comeback. by: Anonymous
Hi Jo
matching sets of jewelry are always more valuable and if it is in the original box this will add to the price for certain. Krementz are known for their high pressure welded rolled gold overlay, rolled gold doesn't get much better than this; I was told they use a special process and the sheets of gold they use to plate the metal are thicker than normal rolled gold.
Costume jewelry by Krementz was made to look like the real thing and this makes Krementz jewelry fairly easy to recognize to the trained eye and highly collectable.
The stones could be glass or goldstone, not sure but beautiful rich color all the same. This color reminds me of imperial topaz.
We run an antique jewelry shop, and know from personal experience, that men's jewelry is making a big comeback , antique jewelry in general, as people are getting sick of these big mining companies.
