My wedding ring/engagement ring also has a K-R inside, purchased in Moorhead MN in 1988. The jewelry store we bought it from is still in business but they said the ring manufacturer is not.

K-R mark by: Monica
Hi Julie
could you describe where the hearts stamped inside the band are in relation to the other marks, 14KP N-R?
The average adult women's ring sizes is apparently 6 to 8 or L to Q
The N R with a dash in between the letters is bewildering. I was wondering if the letters have anything to do with the ring sizes? as the letters between them are the most common women's ring sizes.

Find any other info? by: Julie
I also have a gold and diamond ring, well wedding set with the same exact markings and have not been able to find any information. Mine was bought in Bemidji MN in 1992. Mine has a heart on each side of the diamond on one band and another heart on the wedding band.

Vintage Jewelry Hallmarks | N-R by: Anonymous
Good Morning! These marks could be vintage jewelry hallmarks. The "14 KP " standard mark is 14 karat gold PLUMB.
The mark was introduced in 1978. It means that the ring is guaranteed by the manufacturer to be exactly 14 karat gold. Before 1978, in the US, gold jewelry could legally vary by half a karat. In other words, before 1978, 14 karat gold could actually be only 13 1/2 karat but marked 14 karat and it was within the law to mark it 14K although it was 13- 1/2 carat.
N-R might be a US manufacturers mark.
