I have a ring with 4 prongs, one diamond and then what look like <×> inside of the ring & marked Korea.. how can I determine if it's real?

I have a ring given to me by my husband's grandmother. It's stamped Korea no C7 though. 4 diamonds across the band...not sure if the diamonds are real either but they sure look like it. Thanks

the ring has a single round stone, a phony diamond perhaps, in a four prong setting. it is very sparkly. imagine looking down at the ring on your finger; the outside of the band would look like < > i don't have a camera or i would send a photo.
