I have a 1 strand Mikimoto necklace from Japan that was purchased by my mother in law, when America had control of Tokyo. It is my understanding that the pearl could not be sent out because Japan was under control, and trade was not an option.
I do not know the value of this necklace, however, if anyone can give a ball park figure, it would be appreciated.
