Japanese Cultured Pearls are Copies of Natural Pearls by: Yvonne
Good Morning Lisa!
despite a pearl's vulnerability, (Natural & Cultured) Pearls have managed to retain their popularity over His-story. Like other valuable gems, Native Pearls have many simulants. Artificial "copies" of Natural Pearls can be divided into two groups - Cultured pearls and Pearl Imitations.
Sadly, the waters around Mikimoto Pearl island in Toba Bay, Japan have become too polluted for pearl production.
The Mikimoto Box indicates the Pearls are Mikimoto - any other supporting evidence that the pearls are premier Mikimoto cultured pearls? A signature on the clasp would be more conclusive.
Warm Regards Thanks for writing in. Yvonne Hammouda-Eyre
Mikimoto Pearls On The Top of the Pyramid by: Rebecca
Hi Lisa Congratulations! The Mikimoto Pearl Pyramid represents the quality of Cultured pearls that are harvested in Japan. Only the Cultured pearls that PREMIERE on the very top of the pyramid, are considered worthy to carry the MIKIMOTO name.
