thank you both by: Anonymous
i'm almost positive it's gold just because of the quality alone. i had a filigree ring that was very similar and it was white gold. it's hard to see in the pictures, i should have taken a view from the side, but it has a second layer that lifts the pendant and gives it more depth. that layer is fused to the upper layer at the top and the bottom with three on each side so you can see through it. i just noticed that the three lines on each side of the pendant are actually slits that you can see through so it is filigree. then the numbers 8 and 3 kind of confirms it. the first number is definitely an 8 not a 3.
as far as the stone i have no idea what they are. they look too nice so i don't know if they are handmade or high quality. i don't know why someone would want to put glass in a piece as beautiful as this. i wish i knew who made it.
she had a few other pieces from denmark but i don't know if this one from there too.
now i have to try and put a value on it for ebay.
thanks again, sue

I Would Think White Gold Not Silver by: Anonymous
Sue, that's a beautiful pendant, it looks antique and the stones look natural, they also look pale blue in the photos, not yellow in color.
If the stones, are good quality, natural gemstones and not imitations, I would lean towards white gold rather than Silver.

German or Silver Topped Gold? by: Jean
Hi Sue, that is a puzzling one, for what it's worth, 8 carat gold, which is Gold Content, 33.3 is the Minimum Standard in Germany. Another possibility is silver topped 15 ct gold, which was common in Victorian era. Good Luck Jeanne
