You don't even have to type if you use the little microphone icon by: Anonymous
the body is obviously stainless steel that's why it's so heavy also I think you need copper to attach gold to standard steel which there's no trace of in these bracelets also Google big bad Google says mtl stands for Montreal jewelry company. Come on guys our kids can do it

MTL and V stampings by: Anonymous
What does MTL mean? I have a heavy ring with a coin inserted on top (coin is "victoria.dgi.gra.britt.regina.fid.def.ind.imp")
And is stamped MTL and then another stamp of V
Look forward to hearing any info on this.
Thanks, Val :)

Gold Watch Band by: Kathy
I have a vintage Ladies Watch Band (with missing watch face), it is marked 293 VI 750.(or 298 not sure). It is 18.4 grams. I know it is 18k. After doing allot of searching I think it may have been made in Vicenza, Italy?? Any information would be helpful. Thank you Kathy

Is it a Regular or an Irregular Hexagon Shape? by: Anonymous
Good Evening Martin
can you tell if the hexagon has equal sides, ie, a REGUALAR HEXAGON or is it a a closed six sided figure with non equal sides? Also is there an image inside of this frame?
An irregualar Hexagon frame with a core image inside of the frame of 1. the head of chamois, (750 gold) and a second core image in an REGULAR Hexagon (equal sides) of 2. the head of a fox, (580 gold) was used during 1919-1937 for the two GOLD standards above mentioned, in HUNGARY. The Chamois is a goat species and native to the mountains in Europe.
You might need to use a Jeweler's Loupe to see the image as it being an old piece of jewellery, the image could have worn down over time.
Hi Martin the best way to identify the metal of the bracelet is to take it to your local jeweller and get them to test it. It shouldnt cost much. Good Luck!
