Sheryl - the letters TW look exactly like those used by Thomas Willmore. The assay office mark - ANCHOR points to the Birmingham maker and the age of the ring fits with the TW registration dates. What is puzzling is the shape of the punch stamp. The usual shape is a rectangle and I'm thinking that maybe the sideways anchor on gold, had something to do with it. Any other thoughts on this? Judy

Gold Anchor by: Anonymous
Another sideways Birmingham anchor mark on gold and another example of a gold item stamped with a Birmingham assay office sideways anchor before 1979.
