is there any kind of outline around the M that you can see? Are there tiny knots between each pearl? What colour are they?

I bought a pearl necklace at garage sale. Its about 21 or 22inches long altogether. on the hook clasp it has a pearl on the back and has a capital M it is hard to see 5 or s can u say more or less if It may be real or fake. I did the at home test but confused.

This is not a Mikimoto mark. You might find the M in a clam shell and the letter S imprinted next to it - S is for STERLING or you might see the M in a clamshell and next to it the gold standard like K10 for 10 carat gold.
