identifying my pearls

This necklace belonged to my mother. I am not sure but I would guess its at least 25 years old? I never saw her wear it we found it in her estate. I took this to a few jewelers and they both were impressed with it, one told me if i wanted to sell it start the bidding at 3-4 hundred dollars. Neither one would make an offer though so I am not sure they really know the value? The clasp and claddagh are 14k gold, it is made b Solvar irish jewelry. Any help would be appreciated on type, value, age. I could find nothing like this online or any Solvar related sites. Thanks so much! Everett
