I found this beautiful cameo pendant/brooch in a lot of jewelry I purchased. How much is it worth?

This appears to be shell and 12k. There is a stamp in a small rectangle on the back that reads"K12". No other markings. The face is very 3D and there are even tiny pearls carved in the hair. How old do you believe this to be and what value?
