If you are intending to sell this item on the internet, photography is of the utmost importance; you don't need to spend a lot of money on a camera anymore as many mobile devices take great photos of jewelry.

If you can see a mark of 935 on the clasp, it means the metal is most likely made of SILVER -the .935 silver standard was used in Germany, Switzerland and Austria especially during the interwar industrial era of the 1920's-1940's.

Concerning your question of whether the pearls are genuine cultured pearls or imitation pearls there are fairly easy diagnostic tests, that require no technical equipment that you can do at home to determine this.
