How old is this cameo that belonged to my grandmother?

This cameo belonged to my grandmother. There were also matching earrings, but I lost one. The frame is in some kind of metal and the cameo looks to be in ivory but the material seems more porous than ivory. I cannot date this object. The figure portrayed seems to precede the 19th century. What do you think?
