Horse Head Hallmarks

I bought a gold bracelet at a thrift store with 2 tiny stamps which just looked at first like tiny indentations on the outside of the bracelet.

After looking with a magnifying glass, I saw that they were the same stamp of a horse's head facing to the left showing the full horse's head down to the horse's neck with a dot or something to the left of the head, and the stamp is set in an octagon. The stamps are about 1/2 inch apart.

Would you know what these mean? I would send a picture but my old camera doesn't capture that fine a detail in anything!
