if it's stamped WEISS in the hinged plate part - then it's pretty safe to say it's made by WEISS.
Often times the hinge plate shows signs of wear in contrast to the enduring performance of the thermoset plastic. There doesn't appear to be any big price difference between the WEISS signed and unsigned.
These clamper bracelets are not of bakelite. They are made from a thermoset plastic which is well suited for these large chunky clamper style bracelets. They were manufactured in a range of beautiful colours and set with rows or patterns of different colored and often differently shaped rhinestones. They were popular in the 1940s era.
If there are any missing rhinestones it will radically deflate the price. Some have matching earrings.
