HG&S Cufflink

I have cufflinks with the initial HG&S on them. The front of them is pretty good but behind the cufflinks not so good. I think one set says 12 carat the other 10 carat. There is additional writing underneath the 10 and 12 carat prints but can't decipher it. Old something? Are they worth anything? Is it worth sending them off to receive money for them?
