if it's a diamond clasp, and the original, it's fine quality, can you take photos of the pearls, the entire strand, if it was anything like Staci's jewelry, the original poster, it could be embellished and decorative, and not simple strands of pearls..... Resubmit the question and also include a photo of the clasp. The design of the necklace might provide a clue.

I have a rose shaped 14 K Gold clasp with center diamond that also has the same H on it on the flat part of the clasp insert. It also says 14K.

I just looked through all of my books and didn't find anyone who used or uses just an "H". I will keep trying. One thought, and maybe this is silly, but the font of the H almost looks like the kind of font often used for engraving. Could it be that someone had that engraved? I know it would be odd, an odd place certainly, but maybe it is the initial of the person who owned it.
