Hallmarks on Clasp of Pearl Necklace Strand?

I have an antique pearl necklace with white gold clasp. On the clasp there are the hallmarks WO on the left, a large M in a shield shape in the centre, and a K9 on the right of the reverse side of the clasp. Are you able to tell me what these hallmarks mean?
