Hallmark on Old Watch

Hi I have an old watch which I found when my mother passed away. It is not working, the winder is missing. You can open the back cover and inside is a Hallmark which I can not completely work out but looks like this:

2 (then something I am not sure of but could be a 5) then I think its 6 then definitely 9 8

there is also a very small marking underneath but too small for me to fathom out. The back of the cover is very pretty with a monogram in the center.

Can you help me please. It would have come from the UK as that is where we were born.
